Round Mirrored Side Table

Awhile ago I got this little side table at ROSS for my sister's studio design project, and we didn't end up using it. I was planning on painting it for her space and really LOVE the look of it. So then I debated...return it or keep it. Well keep it of course! And I am SO GLAD I DID!!! Here's what she looks like now:

All of my Facebook friends were so awesome with input
on ideas for the piece.

Here's the before:

If you really want it...fine, I'll sell it to you. :-)

Really...this has been an extremely weird week.
People...I acquired a major (for me) amount of furniture
and currently have 10+ pieces waiting for repairs and makeovers.
And I am SOOO excited.

There's definitely a reason I'm kicking into high gear,
and I want to tell you but I can't just yet!
Don't you hate that?! It's ok...you can be mad at me. :-)

Well I also got to go to my sister's photography studio today,
deliver the rug, and get pictures! Yay!!!
I'll be sharing that this coming week and you won't
want to miss the transformation!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone and don't
forget to enjoy the view!!! :-)

A few things...

Well, I've obviously been a little MIA lately, but plenty busy. :-) We're just coming out of a big snow "storm", and I'm not sure I've ever been so happy to see rain! I have not been out and about since Monday...seriously. With three kids in the house - hello???!!!!!  Here's what we've been up to (and sorry...not editing photos tonight):

Obviously...it's been snowing!
Say hello to McConnell's Mukilteo Snowman!!! :-)

It didn't snow once last year (that I can remember),
and the last time it snowed more than a couple inches
was a few years ago!

Annabelle was out of school ALL week! We're talking
no school, gym class, mommy groups, play dates. :-/

Have you SEEN our driveway??? 9 out of 10 people
HATE
just walking up our driveway,
let alone driving.

Anyway..I digress.
I am thankful for my home!

And this guy. ;-)

Soooo, I was bored and decided to switch it up in our house.
Sometimes this can be bad, but we couldn't be happier with our decision
to change our office....

into play room!

It's on the main floor right next to the powder room,
kitchen, and living room.
Then our son is moved into the former play room
and the office is now in his former bedroom.
That was A LOT of hauling up and down stairs!

Another day while daddy was gone I cut up some
muslin fabric and let the girls use mommy's
big girl brushes
(OH THE EXCITEMENT!!!)
to paint whatever they wanted.
Just acrylic paints.

I cut and screwed together some 1 x 2 boards, wrapped the fabric around,
and stapled it with my new compressor and staple gun from the hubby

So we have.....

Lauryn's

Mine

Annabelle's
(The freaky eye!)

Michael's
(with mommy's help)

He just wanted to do this....

He had a little brush and kept painting little stripes on his arms and saying,
"I a tiger mama, I a tiger!"

Cute??? YES! Love that kid!!!
(Yes...I was freaking out not wanting the
paint to get on the chairs!)

Ok...as for work  fun:

I pretty much have 3 pieces done and waiting for hardware
and photo shoots

1. One of them is this piece.

Here's a sneak peak:

2. Another piece ready is an expandable table with a coastal finish.

3. The last piece is that pretty armoire that's been
"In The Works" up on the above right of the blog page.
Yeah!

ALMOST DONE!!!

I found this table at ROSS for $80 when shopping for my sister's studio
(pictures coming, I PROMISE!!!)
and keep wondering if I should just return it
(because she didn't use it)
or PAINT IT????

What's your vote?

Ok..there you have it in a nutshell!

Small White Bench

Hello and Happy Monday!
I have just a bit of time to post this white bench
I finished up last week!

Brand new white bench made from wood, painted, and sealed.
This piece is not distressed anywhere.
I love how versatile this bench is! It can go anywhere from the entryway,
to the end of a bed, or even a standard height dining room table.

Dimensions are: 34.5" long x 9.5" deep x 18" high
$100 cash

Contact me for arrangements.

This is the most popular piece I build for people,
and can be custom ordered to length and stain/paint!

Have a great day!

Simple French Linen Nightstand

Well.
(insert deep breath)

In the midst of all this CraZinEss involving
helping my sister get her new studio fixed up
and decorated, I somehow have managed to
get this little night stand finished up.
Hooray! :-)

I had to do a super quick little photo shoot
in the wonderful gray-skied weather.
Yay for winter (do you sense sarcasm???) ;-)

Anyway...
let me just say, I love this color
of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.
It is French Linen and it has this
grayish, cocoaish tone to it.
It's so sophisticated, yet
could still be used in
a nautical or industrial setting.
And I love versatility!

I thought this oil rubbed bronze hardware
looked nice and elegant. I got
them awhile ago on clearance and
snatched up the whole box! :-)

Dimensions are: 24" wide x 14" deep x 24.5" high

It has four well sliding drawers (no stops)
The top inside drawer has a couple marker lines,
but other than that, it is in great condition.

$120 cash

If you are interested, please
contact me for arrangements.

It's Gonna Be A BUSY Week

Nothing like starting the New Year off with some craziness, right? Especially from a super anti-get-crazy-busy kind of person like myself! But love prevails, and I am SO excited to be helping my sister semi-renovate and design her new studio space for her photography business, Kayla J Photography. Check out her amazing work at www.kaylajphoto.com! I have been browsing, shopping, measuring, researching, and building for her new space and having a BLAST!!!

All this to say, don't expect too much from me this week, but after her Grand Opening this coming Saturday, be prepared to be bombarded friends! :-)

I am still pretty active on the Facebook page, so check in when you get the chance - I love all of your input!

Since I didn't do any kind of Christmas decor post, I thought I'd leave you with a picture of my favorite decoration in my house this Christmas. The ladder was my husband's Great Grandpa's (we're still semi-verifying that!), but it's so cool! The real deal rustic. ;-)

Have a great week!
