Distressed French Blue Twin Bed

I couldn't believe I contacted the person

selling this bed and they were literally across the busy

highway next to our house - the equivalent of two doors down.

Hard to beat that! ;-)

It's actually a very old bed that needed a lot of repair.

It's not perfect, but I think it turned out quite pretty.

It's these kind of pieces that make my girls go crazy!

Lol - they're like me just wanting to keep every piece. ;-)

I finished this piece in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint

Duck Egg Blue/Old White mix and

sealed it with Polycrylic.

It needed to be glued, clamped, decals were falling off, oiy!

It also did not come with siderails so I ordered up some

new hardware (which fits PERFECT~yay!) and

made up some painted wood siderails to match.

It also has one brand new wheel since one was missing.

I have never seen another bed like this, and

I am SO thrilled with all of the beautiful

details on the headboard and footboard!

Fabulous Finds at Haley's Cottage

This past week I ventured to Kirkland to pick up some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Wax at Haley's Cottage. Since this is my first time using ASCP, I was super excited to find Cindy as a mini-stockist not too far away in one of my favorite cities!

To my wonderful surprise, as I walked in the store,

 I was flooded with an array of beautiful items which I, of course,

am going to share with all of you!

Custom French Country Table Set

This was a great table set that my friend recently asked me if I could fix up. I said, "I'd love to", of course!  This was a very old table set in the family and needed a little TLC, but wasn't in too bad of shape for it's age.

We went from faded yellow and putty gray to Distressed Creamy White with a Light Mocha Glaze and High Gloss Black table top.

I love the French styling and curves.

 I love how it turned out, and she picked a really pretty fabric.  Here are some pictures that my friend took in it's use.
