French Hutch Reveal!

It's been awhile since I picked up this piece of furniture, and I'm so glad I didn't get to it right away. I've learned a lot since then! I was going to refinish her in a safe and classic black or cream, but it just wasn't happening and I was getting impatient. Well, my impatience won me over and I got to work with some ASCP in Duck Egg Blue. So without further ado, I present to you....

"Adeline"

I love how the Duck Egg Blue turned out!
Some finishing details:
Clear waxed, a white primer and Graphite mix for the interior,
and both Duck Egg Blue and Paris Grey on the hardware.
Graphite used on the interior lower cabinets.
Sealed on the upper interior with Polycrylic,
and lower cabinets with a spray lacquer.

Upper interior light, wire lined non-opening upper side doors,
glass opening upper middle door.
New shelving was made and wrapped with dropcloth material!!!

Now prepare to be inundated with photos
in no particular order! :-)

Oh my goodness! She's beautiful. I wish I had a place for her in my home. The first name that pops into my head is Savannah.

You have done an absolutely beautiful job - she is simply lovely. I have just started using Annie Sloan paints and Duck Egg Blue is one of my favorites. I have to share that I just bought this exact hutch off Craigs list this past week-end,along with the table and 6 chairs. When I get her uncovered and reassembled, and painted, i would love to share a pic. You have given me new inspiration for the pieces. I was thinking of painting mine in Old Ochre... now not so sure. I will be checking in with you often. Your style is really beautiful. Thanks

This absolutely gorgeous! I love everything you did! Duck egg blue is one of my favorite Chalk Paint colors and I love how you paired it with a gray interior. The chicken wire and hardware look perfect too.

I'm a new follower! I love this hutch. I have one that I am working on but can't decide what I really want to do with it....now I think I do.
Did you paint the inside of the bottom?
I vote Elise for the next project....if it's a boy then Henry. : )

I found you via Pinterest and I am your latest follower. I am so impressed with your work. You did such a superb job. I have a china cabinet I want to paint and I am deciding between the duck egg or the paris grey. After seeing yours I am leaning toward duck egg. I'd love for you to stop by and say hi. I host a link party each week. Would love to have you join the fun.
